The performances on the night were surprising, exciting, eclectic, some on the weird side, some on the exquisite side...and most of all in honour of the finalists and winners of the evening. And best of all...all performances are now online to check out! Head to the NZ Herald website to see how each song was covered.

The performances:

 ‘Nothing to Lose’, written by Jon Toogood and Karoline Tamati, was covered by the very talented Scratch 22, who was joined on vocals by Amber Claire, with Eric Scholes on bass.

 ‘Blanket’, written by Annabel Alpers, performed by Bachelorette was performed by the Wellingtonian 4 piece Orchestra of Spheres.

The winning song ‘Love Love Love’, written by Dave Baxter, was reworked by the Benka Boradovsky Bordello Band, who transformed the pop hit into a rollicking punk-tinged, gypsy extravaganza.

Cut Off Your Hands added there individual sound and down-beat rock style to Delaney Davidson’s ‘Little Heart’

 ‘Ffunny Ffrends’, written by Ruban Nielson (Unknown Mortal Orchestra) was covered by the extremely talented hip hop group Homebrew Crew.

The winner of the APRA Maioha Award was Tyna Keelan with ‘Ko Koe’, who had his song re-sung by the soulful voice of Sandy Mill, who had an abundance of guests adding layers to the winning song.

 The winner of the SOUNZ Contemporary Award was Lyell Cresswell with ‘Concerto for Piano and Orchestra’. The winning piece blew everyone away with the Ninjas of Heavy Metal reworking the song into the metal genre, whilst highlighting the beautiful piece of the winners.
