The APRA Silver Scroll is the most prestigious music award in the country and only APRA Members have the power to decide who wins.
As the only peer voted music award in New Zealand, this award is no popularity contest or industry competition. Peer voting for the winner of the APRA Silver Scroll is all about songwriters recognising the outstanding achievements of their cohorts and honouring the craft of songwriting.
APRA Members it is time to elect your 2009 songwriting champion.
Your vote will make a difference so be sure to have your say!
Voting closes Sunday 2nd August.
From nearly 200 entries, our group of expert judges has created a preliminary top twenty as listed below; each song and their accompanying lyrics are included below for your review.
The five finalists as determined by APRA members will be announced mid August and the winner will be presented the Silver Scroll Award at the Christchurch Town Hall on Thursday 17 September 2009.

We have carefully selected and developed almost 90 individual pockets of Man O' War's hillsides for wine growing, each chosen for the unique and exceptional qualities they bring to our wines.
